Fly Screens

Let cool air circulate around your home, while keeping out undesired flying insects!

Our fly screens will not spoil your view, it will provide ventilation and protection from insects and are a unique addition to any home or business.

Fly Screens are easy to clean and can be fitted to all types of windows and doors, whether commercial or residential application.
The screens are made with high quality components to ensure years of trouble free.
Our frames are made of high tensile extruded aluminium, powder coated to 6 standard colours (White, Off White, Mid-Bronze, Black, Karaka Green and Light Grey), process that will keep the screen frame looking its best for many years - special powder coating colours also available upon request (Dulux powder coating colours).
Fly screen frames can be Hinged (top, bottom, left or right), removable (by using PVC anchor hinges) or fixed.

Retractable Fly Screens

Our range of quality retractable insect screens are a convenient alternative to traditional fixed fly screen systems and ideal where the traditional fixed system is just not feasible.
The retractable insect screen consists of a small cassette where the spring-loaded roll of mesh is housed and tracks for the insect screen to run within. Position the insect screen so that the annoying bugs stay out or retract the insect screen when not required.
Here are just some of the scenarios that are ideal for the retractable insect screen:
Food counters and canteens - there is nothing worse than seeing flies around food preparation areas.
Where
outward opening windows are fitted - now you can keep the windows open for fresh air and keep those pesky mosquitoes and flies out.
Where
French and Bi-fold doors are installed.
This versatile product is available in a wide range of colours (White, Off White, Black and New Denim Blue - special Dulux powder coating colours also available upon request) and styles:

Vertical - opens from top to bottom (or vice versa), it is best suited for windows or narrow door ways that are not so often used.
Horizontal - opens from left to right or right to left or meeting at the centre. Best suited for door ways but also applicable for windows. (Please note that on doors, the trimmings are always black so it is evident when the retractable insect screen is pulled across to avoid accidents).
All retractable insect screens are
Custom Built for a perfect fit.

Window With Fixed Panel

In this example we have a fixed panel and a mullion divider in the middle of the two windows.

Width
We start measuring from the right hand side of the window frame, to the START of the window divider(Mullion).

Add 40mm to this measurement to avoid track overlapping into the glass.

Drop
Measure top to bottom, as you normally do. inside frame to inside frame.

Depth
Once again measure the depth of the window frame, 54mm to accommodate cassette and tracks.

How to Measure Magnetic Screens

Measure the outer edge of the mullion of your window WIDTH x DROP as shown in the image above.

Follow the red lines and arrows.

The mullion has to be at least 20mm wide in all sides to fully accommodate the screen.

In this example we have measured the outer edge of the left hand side mullion (not the opening
part - the lighter grey in this picture)

Magnetic screens need a flat edge for the screens to be attached to. If the window mullions
are not big enough for the screen to be attached to, you may want to consider ordering a
hinged screen or retractable screen.

Please if you are still in doubt on how to measure, send us a picture of your window so we can
better assist you.

The Magnetic Screens are manufactured to the size you provide, no deductions or allowances will
be made.
